The Avocado Pit - Progress Report

Well, the avocado pit is still with us - Sabrina has been changing the water and keeping a vigilant eye on it. The outer skin has cracked, and if you look really close, the bottom has the very beginnings of roots starting.

What a fun experiment! I didn't know you could do that with an avocado seed...I usually just chuck one into a pot if I want it to grow, but this is so much better since you get to see the process. I think Alexis and I are going to have to try this...Need to get some tooth picks! :)
